“Metaprocess” is the world leader in the field of designing mini-plants for production of methanol. According to a project and under supervision of the company, the least (12,500 t/y of methanol) and the most northern in the world (66th parallel) industrial plant has been built for production of methanol from natural gas which is operated by the classic flowsheet of steam reforming.
The main line of mini-plants for methanol production according to the “Metaprocess” technology can have the capacities: 12,500; 25,000; 50,000; 75,000; 100,000 t/y of methanol.
Technological designs are possible for methanol plants of any intermediate capacity proceeding from the customer’s specifications.
“Metaprocess” assures production of both technical (96%) and marketable methanol, depending on the customer’s needs.

“Metaprocess” possesses the technology for obtaining synthetic petroleum from gases containing methane (natural, associated, fuel) and the competence in the field of designing plants for obtaining the products of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (synthetic petroleum, paraffins). Such a technology allows natural gas to be processed at marginal and low-head fields to liquid or paraffins followed by cracking and obtaining diesel fuel. Besides, utilization of this technology allows the associated gas sent to flare to be processed in order to obtain a liquid mixed with petroleum for further joint transportation by pipelines. Nevertheless, the product obtained has a high cost which exceeds that of crude oil by about 25 to 20%.
The “Metaprocess” plants may be integrated into complexes for gasification of coals and shales with the object of obtaining liquid hydrocarbons and motor fuel.

Hydrogen production according to “Metaprocess” projects is based on natural gas reforming followed by separation of carbon monoxide. The hydrogen produced may be used in oil refining, metallurgy, and other fields. “Metaprocess” is the exclusive partner of Hydro-Chem (USA) which is a branch company of Linde concern on the C.I.S. territory in the field of designing (tie-in) and supply of the equipment.

“Metaprocess” corp. offers services for designing units (plants) for production of urea ammonium nitrate (UAN). Utilization of the UAN technology will allow the volume of fertilizer sales to be increased and the shipping costs for chemical enterprises to be decreased.
